In daily use the light will be used to identify photodamage, clogged pores, skin irritation and other cosmetic conditions.   Instantly visualize early skin damage and easily share image with customers.  


dermID was created by an optical scientist and uses a proven, optically based technology called “fluorescence technology”. dermID’s fluorescence technology uses a blue light (425-460 nm) that provides the clinician an aid in visualization of damaged skin cells located deep into the dermis layer. Fluorescence Technology paired with our patent pending yellow lens creates a frequency that allows the user to visualize what the naked eye cannot see.

Tissue fluorescence technology relies on fluorophores that emit their own light at a longer wavelength. The light is blue in color. When directed on healthy tissue, it appears green due to the wavelength technology; when the tissue is abnormal, it appears dark in color. For example, fluorescence can detect changes occurring in the tissue such as cellular and structural changes that are not visible to the eye. This allows the clinician to visualize tomorrow’s skin today.

TWO FILTERS, ONE CLEAR IMAGE Fluorescence imaging can be easily accomplished in a darkened room using the enclosed light and SmartFilter clip. The goal is to have the images reproduce what is seen with the eye using the yellow filtering glasses.
